I ended up crashing the illustrators lesson this morning with screenprinter/ illustrator SAVWO. It made me really want to get back doing some printing. I have a piece of lino I bought ages ago which is definitely getting used very soon. I might try and use it to experiment with my logo for the self promotion brief or something. Also want to look more into risoprint as it sounds like a happy medium between handmade and machine print. Recently I’ve been leaning towards clean graphics, but I did a lot of printmaking in college which I really enjoyed.

SAVWO’s work was really good. I loved the marbling textures and mistakes he’d turned into backgrounds. Had a quick chat with him and found out he was sold his screen printing equipment and was introduced to screen printing by Nick Rhodes @ switchopen who taught me at college for a while. Small world!
