Been doing some experimental graphics using geometric shapes, using Andy Gilmore and Simon C Page as inspiration. Loved these two designers for a long time, but its always baffled me how they create such intricate amazing work. As I’ve discovered so far it has a lot to do with shades of colour next to each other, simplicity in the original shape, repetition, and almost creating illusion to the eye. I’ve been reading quite a few interviews with Gilmore and Page and they say their work involves a lot of maths too as I can imagine. Genius’s.
Think I’m going to pay more attention to colour choices in the next one.
